Ah yes, I had forgotten the joys of riding out a hurricane…
I am currently writing this on my cellphone. Not because I want to appear edgy and hip, but because a bunch of trees fainted on the power lines down the road.
When the going got tough, they packed it in and hit the ground, rudely taking all of the innocent lines with them. Around the second day without lights, I found myself lost in a day-dream. One of axes, and tree screams. The dream ended when I passed out from lack of oxygen due to my mass tree murder. It’s kind of scary when all I have for entertainment is my mind.
I’m currently bathed in the hum of a gas powered generator. Which is a lot better than being bathed in the hum of my own sweat. (yes my sweat hums. Don’t judge me!) Point being, I really miss my computer. I miss the drawing tablet, and unattainable deadlines we put upon ourselves. Hell, I even miss not being able to find anything to watch on tv. But it is kind of nice, to every once in a while be taken out of the routine and flung into the dark. With no light. No compass. And no timeframe of when the return to normalcy will arrive. The path back can get very interesting. Who knows what kind of new “norm” will be set up in it’s place when you do get back. I guess what I’m trying to say is… No new updates for the next couple of days. We are sitting in the dark thinking up witty things to say. Oh, and about tree murder. When all else fails. Blame it on the trees.
Fear the moose
Don’t trust the grass
Blame it on the trees
